The
"blue hour" is a poetic term for that time of evening,
between the sunset and the coming of night. It is sometimes called
"twilight", but the "blue hour" refers more to that short
slip of time after the light of the sun is gone, and the sky turns
a deep, dark, sapphire blue, behind the black outline of the trees.
It is often pictured with a fat moon, bright and low on the horizon,
with the evening star appearing just beside it. It is a time, many
believe, when magical things happen, and romance is at its peek.
In
the Blue Hour is a musical collection of the great Opera and
film melodies, arias, lullabies, and love songs which describe,
enlighten and admire this eternally romantic twilight time.
Our
setting is the rare combination of voice and classical guitar. The
beauty of this unique sound creates a music and an atmosphere rich
and intimate.

Also featured are unforgetable film classics like Casablanca's "As

Janet
and Scott offer audiences a fresh portrait of romance: the sensual
and vibrant sound of the classical guitar, coupled with a voluptuous
and pure voice. These arrangements for voice and guitar transcend
traditional classical boundaries. Their sound reflects the mood
of a romantic "movie score", while still tipping a respectful hat
to the original. The music touches audiences of all ages.

The
Duo is renowned, not only for their superb musicality, but for their
inviting and casual performance style. They have the uncanny ability
to strip away the stuffy context around any piece of classical music
and make it breathe life again. This quality makes them especially
successful in live performances.
The
"In the Blue Hour" program opens a door to non-traditional
audiences, offering them the chance to hear and fall in love with
some of the world's most beautiful melodies, outside of the theatre
and the opera house.
